Construction Site Security Guards in Calgary, Alberta
Calgary’s downtown core and rapidly expanding suburban communities keep the city in a near-constant state of construction, from high-rise office and condo towers to large-scale residential subdivisions on its outer ring. That pace of development brings steady exposure to theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access across job sites of every size.
Construction Site Security Challenges in Calgary
Calgary’s downtown core sees ongoing high-rise and mixed-use construction on tightly bound urban lots, often surrounded by C-Train lines, pedestrian traffic, and the Beltline’s dense residential population. Meanwhile, rapid subdivision growth in communities like Seton, Livingston, and the city’s southeast and northwest edges leaves partially built homes and material stockpiles exposed for extended periods — a frequent target for theft, particularly overnight and in the city’s harsh winter months when sites see less foot traffic.
Unattended construction sites in Calgary are prime targets for theft of tools, copper wiring, lumber, and heavy equipment, as well as vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized dumping. Licensed, on-site security is one of the most effective and cost-efficient ways to prevent these losses before they happen.
