Construction Site Security Guards in Fort McMurray, Alberta
Fort McMurray, at the centre of Alberta’s oil sands industry, sees some of the largest and highest-value industrial construction projects in the country, alongside steady residential and camp-facility development across the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
Construction Site Security Challenges in Fort McMurray
Oil sands and industrial camp construction near Fort McMurray involves extensive equipment, materials, and vehicle assets spread across vast, remote, multi-year build sites — a substantial theft and access-control challenge requiring coordinated, disciplined perimeter security given the region’s distance from other urban centres.
Unattended construction sites in Fort McMurray are prime targets for theft of tools, copper wiring, lumber, and heavy equipment, as well as vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized dumping. Licensed, on-site security is one of the most effective and cost-efficient ways to prevent these losses before they happen.
