Construction Site Security Guards in Kitimat, British Columbia
Kitimat has become one of Northwestern BC’s most significant industrial construction sites with the development of major LNG and aluminum-smelting facilities, alongside steady downtown and residential growth.
Construction Site Security Challenges in Kitimat
The scale of LNG and industrial plant construction in Kitimat involves extensive equipment, materials, and workforce camp infrastructure spread across sprawling, multi-year build sites — a substantial theft and access-control challenge requiring coordinated, disciplined perimeter security given the region’s remote location.
Unattended construction sites in Kitimat are prime targets for theft of tools, copper wiring, lumber, and heavy equipment, as well as vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized dumping. Licensed, on-site security is one of the most effective and cost-efficient ways to prevent these losses before they happen.
