Construction Site Security Guards in Vancouver, British Columbia
Vancouver’s downtown peninsula and surrounding neighbourhoods remain in near-constant construction, from high-rise condo towers to major infrastructure projects, on some of the most valuable and space-constrained construction sites in the country.
Construction Site Security Challenges in Vancouver
Downtown Vancouver’s high-rise and mixed-use construction sites are often squeezed onto tight urban lots surrounded by pedestrian traffic, transit lines, and dense residential towers, making perimeter control and material security especially challenging. Rainy, mild winters mean sites stay active and exposed year-round, and the city’s high property values make tools, copper wiring, and equipment particularly attractive targets for theft.
Unattended construction sites in Vancouver are prime targets for theft of tools, copper wiring, lumber, and heavy equipment, as well as vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized dumping. Licensed, on-site security is one of the most effective and cost-efficient ways to prevent these losses before they happen.
